Before/After ::

Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation

Aplications: Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation treats fine wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Patients with photo-damage and photo-aging often benefit from the procedure. Specifically addresses: sun damage, wrinkles, photo-aging, lentigines and facial telangiectasia, vascular and pigment irregularities.

Descriptions: With this process solar lentigines and facial telangiectasia are treated individually with the Aura laser. The entire face is "painted" with the Aura. This is followed by a second pass with the Lyra laser, for facial toning and the treatment of fine wrinkles.

What to Expect: (Immediately after Treatment) Solar lentigines may darken following treatment. After painting technique a slight erythema might be present.

Expected Final Outcome: With this procedure patients will typically benefit from 3-8 treatments. Clearing of sun damage such as lentigines will be evident after the first few treatments. Wrinkle improvement will be gradual over the first three months of treatment as new collagen forms, creating a smoother, younger looking skin.

Acne

Applications: Acne

Descriptions: Acne is a condition caused by skin cells that do not shed properly and plug pores, causing oil and bacteria to be trapped inside. As the oil and bacteria accumulates, the skin becomes inflamed and swells outwards forming the familiar whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. The most common type of acne shows up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest.

What to Expect: (Immediately after Treatment) Mild to moderate redness and swelling that will fade in as little as a couple hours to as much as a few days.

Expected Final Outcome: While outcomes vary from person to person a prospective clinical study indicates that over 90% of patients treated experience marked reduction in acne lesions.

System Used: Aura -i Laser System

Lyra Laser Hair Removal

Application: Hair removal

Description: Undesirable hair anywhere on the body and face.

What to Expect: (Immediately after Treatment) Perifollicular erythema (reddening around hair shaft) immediately following laser application. On occasion this reaction is absent or minimal.

Expected Final Outcome: Hair takes 1 - 2 weeks to fall out. Requires multiple treatments with occasional maintenance treatments.

System Used: Lyra- i™ Laser System

Shaving/Razor Bumps

Application: Shaving (razor) bumps/Pseudo-folliculitis

Description: Pseudo-folliculitis (razor bumps) is a common condition of a closely shaved area, which occurs in people with thick curly hair. The problem results when highly curly hairs grow back into the skin causing inflammation and a foreign body reaction. Over time, this can cause keloidal scarring which looks like hard bumps.

What to Expect: (Immediately after Treatment) Perifollicular erythema (reddening around hair shaft) immediately following laser application. On occasion this reaction is absent or minimal.

Expected Final Outcome: Full resolution. Requires multiple (up to five) treatments with occasional maintenance treatments.

System Used: Lyra- i™ Laser System

Spider Leg Veins

Application: Red and blue veins/spider veins on legs

Description: Veins that are distended, tortuous, twisted, bulging, "ropey" superficial veins of the leg that instead of conducting blood upward, back to the heart, conduct blood downward, in a reversed fashion, back to the foot.

What to Expect: (Immediately after Treatment) Fine veins may blanch, larger veins are thicker and may blanch or turn grayish and flatten. You should not see a refill/rebound after the vessel is depressed. The onset of surrounding erythema (reddening) and edema occurs in a few minutes. Erythema can last a few days, some smaller superficial vessels could form a cat scratch scab over vein patch, and larger veins will take a few weeks to fade.

Expected Final Outcome: Usually takes one to three treatments. Vessels may take up to eight weeks to fade.

Rosacea/Concentrated broken capillaries/Rosy cheeks

Application: Concentrated broken capillaries/rosy cheeks and nose or Rosacea and Matted Telangiectasia

Description: A disorder involving chronic inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, or eyelids; it may cause redness, vascularity (increased prominence of the blood vessels), swelling or hyperplasia (increase in size of the tissue), or skin eruptions similar to acne.

What to Expect: (Immediately after Treatment) The area will blanch immediately following the laser application. Several seconds later it will be replaced with erythema which will fade within a few days.

Expected Final Outcome: Full resolution. Usually requires several treatments to completely eliminate all vessels.
